Set up this betta tank a not too long ago. Added the fish after cycling. Any thoughts on why the leaves are browning on some plants? I do about a 20% water change every 10 days and use full spectrum lights 8-10 hrs daily. Also use precise mini dose of seachem flourish weekly. It doesn’t bother me so long as things are healthy. Thanks!

  1. Big-Watch3035 on

2 things that could be completely non harmful
    1 plant melting
Most plants are grown partially submerged so they go through a phase called melting where they sometimes look like they’re rotting but it’s totally normal and nothing you can really do about it bar wait
    2 algae
It could be brown algae on the leaves I don’t see any cleaners in your tank like otos or shrimp which isn’t necessarily a bad thing it just means you might have to scrub the leaves to stop the brown film but easy check just touch it you’ll know if it feels like algae or a leaf

  2. Try putting some liquid co2 if u can’t do a co2 injection thing. It combats algae and helps your plants grow 🙂
