I was in the market for a new fish finder and decided on the helix 7 now I know the regular version can sit recessed but does the mega version do the same ?
Pictures 1&2 are the “non MEGA version” while 3 is the MEGA.

I found a video with an install on the PDL pro and it seems like it isn’t recessed
I have the mega SI – and mine came with a smaller transducer…🤔

Interesting – it seems like if you install it in the same fashion as the smaller one, it would just stick out longer not necessary lower… If that makes sense?
