As some of you may know if you saw my previous post, my poor guy suffered some major fin tearing after he decided to jump inside my internal filter reservoir. He has been healing up so nicely since! Just wanted to share an update with you all!
First photo is when I first got him, second is after the injury, and third is him just this week! It’s been about 3 weeks since and I’ve already seen so much re growth! Not to mention his colors are coming in so nicely and he certainly is looking much healthier!
I’ve been doing frequent water changes, added in some Catappa leaves for a bit (taken them out since) , and blocked the outflow spot on my filter with some corse filter sponge so there are no more risks of him jumping inside again.
Currently saving up to set him up a larger planted tank, the upgrade will be a 10 gallon ideally as I have him in a 5 gallon with fake silk plants at the moment. Can’t wait to start that set up! Also have given him the very appropriate name of “Buzz”…since he decided to give himself a little bit of a buzz cut lol

Same.
My Betta male jumped out.
Was lying in the sun on a sheet of paper.
When I found him the fins were completely dry.
He looked like dead.
I don’t know why,
but I put him back in the water,
and after a while he began to move…..
He was alive.
But his fins have been completely destroyed.
And he got a fungus.
He looked really horrible.
I put him in a box of 2 Liter,
and put him on the windowsill,
where he got direct sunlight.
And I added some potassium permanganate.
The fungus disappeared.
But he had still no fins.
Put him back in the tank.
He was lying on a leafe near the surface all day long.
His eyes were dull.
But he lived.
Than I added a female.
That motivated him.
From time to time he moved a little.
His eyes got clear again.
He startet to eat.
And his fins began to grow again.
After some months he was recovered.
They mated.
And he got father of more than 120 babies ! 😂
Anyway back to the point at hand omg 😳 ur betta looks amazing wow !!!! Great great job 👏
