


Ended up ripping it all out, cutting, and replanting. My son refused to come out for the rest of the day after, BUT it was long overdue. The plants were so entangled that light trimming made no sense and wouldn't have helped anything. But it will grow back in no time, better and healthier even. 🙂 After that, turned the day into a tanks maintenance kinda day on all the filters too, scrubbed the sponges and even the impellers, which I literally never do for some reason, added more peat to the 35g, etc. Everything is running at full speed today lol
Also, finally working on adjusting his water parameters now that we have a RO/DI filter. My boi will be enjoying some soft water soon. 🙂↕️
Last 2 pics are him yesterday after the deforestation. He even refused food (!!!!!), but it gave us a chance to drop loads in for the pygmy cories and shrimp, who definitely appreciated it lol
