Betta Fish: New friend arrived yesterday and I’ve been fixed to the tank ever since

This is my first personal betta, I “inherited” a betta fish in a 2 gallon tank as a teacher coming into a new classroom. Because I knew that people mistreat bettas without knowing what they’re doing, I did a ton of research to try and give him the best life I could, set him up a great planted 5 gal tank, and after seeing his turnaround, I fell in love with his active personality and curiosity. So I bought another tank, set it up at home around little over a month ago, waited for my parameters to indicate that it was cycled, and then ordered this little guy! I wanted him to be colorful to stand out against the black substrate and rock… he definitely delivers. I’ve just been watching him explore and get into every little hiding spot I’ve created. I’m so excited to have a little guy at home to watch on the weekends! (His name is Diva… fitting I think)
