I went to Scheels today to buy some fishing gear because I was borrowing some of my friends gear to fish for th last couple of times I fished. A very nice salesman helped me with the baits and showed me around and pointed out some good ones. He put this set together for me. I was wondering now, what exactly I do with them. I have some general knowledge with what to do with them. I fish in my local pond that has some bass in it. I also bought myself a new rod, the pflueger president spinning combo. It wouor be very helpful to know if I need anything else, and how I can properly set up my rod and bait to get th most fish.

Those yellow and black hooks are for threading inside the grub, making the yellow and black part at the head and the hook coming out the top, those other hooks with the clips on them (called weed guards) could be used for makeshift wacky rigs, you can put the hook through the middle part of the worm so both ends flop on the sides and just drop it around and let it fall, bass it destroy it if nothing else. The hardbait is a lipless crankbait, best fished around grass, cast it, let it sink, reel it a few seconds, let it drop, repeat, id get some bullet singers and EWG hooks, about 2/0 size forthe hooks and lesrn how to make a texas rig for the worms other than that you’re good!
Get some 3/0 EWG hooks and learn how to Texas rig those senkos, you’ll catch plenty. Drop down along the bank line and let it sit, twitching it and reeling every once in a while. If you think you’re fishing it slow, fish it even slower.
When you think you’re feeling a bite, lower the tip of your rod and reel in the little bit of slack then pull up and set the hook.
If you’re in an area and not getting bites, don’t be afraid to move. You can cast in a fanning direction following the hours on a clock.
If you catch one bass, odds are more are around it.
Look up ned rids and Texas rigs. Works for me for bass in P.A. catfish i use a Carolina rig. Hopefully this can help. Good luck and fish on.
Let me add to the solid advice you are getting:
Store your soft plastics in the same bag they came in. Some forulaas will melt into and bond to the plastic of your tackle or utility box and become unusable, both the lure and the box.
Get some spinners and maybe some spoons if ya want.
Get some bobbers and some hooks with longer shanks for worms. Good for bluegill perch and trout
Get some slip sinkers and barrel swivels for fishing on bottom. Good for catfish
Weighted jig heads for walleye
And get some split shot weights (little ball weights) they are helpful for every thing
