i just wanted to make this post to warn other fish keepers on here. DO NOT use the cholla wood shrimp hides with your betta fish. i should’ve known better but didn’t even think that my boy could fit into the center, but i was wrong. today when i went to visit my Falkor i saw what i thought was his ripped fin stuck to the wood but upon closer examination and not seeing him, i found him wedged in the cholla wood and he is gone. after my near panic attack i buried him in my monstera pot and performed a WC; i wanted to come and share my experience to prevent this from happening to others. to say i am devastated would be an understatement. i didn’t even get a full year with my boy. he was such a little Dodo but a sweatheart. he got along great with his other tank mates and would always be in his corner watching and waiting for me. please enjoy pictures of my baby Falkor as i never posted on here to show him until now :/

RIP Falkor

He was beautiful, I’m so sorry for your loss. He doesn’t know how long he was supposed to live, just his quality of life while he was here and it was a good one! You gave him a wonderful life, that’s all he knows.

  3. I’m so sorry OP. Thank you for sharing to bring awareness ❤️💕 I burried mine the same way
