I got this betta for 1$ at Petco he was sold to me as a “” baby boy”” I chose him because he stood out from the rest it was his icy blue eyes that made me choose him, what color is he? And what will he look like as he matures? ( yes he’s eating a shrimp 😭)

He is a beautiful baby! Glad that this little baby is getting love, not so much happy he was at petco. Unfortunately you can never really tell what a betta’s colors will be as they’re always changing depending on their age/health/genetics. For example my son Ink was just about pitch-black when he was given to me on Christmas and has since brightened up with slight iridescent blue/silver (like a crow or raven) and will likely get lighter as his quality of life slowly improves. Most fish will probably stick to one general color or pattern but it’s never a true guarantee. Do post pics when he gets his colors in!
“He” may actually be a “she”, although it’s hard to tell at this age! The silhouette on his side kind of looks like ovaries. Depending on how old he is exactly, it may be hard to tell how he’ll color up.
