Hi all:)
I saw this little guy when I went to PetSmart yesterday. He’s so tiny and I felt so bad for him. I’ve been wanting a betta fish for a while now and when I saw him I knew I needed to get him.
I was going to get him yesterday but unfortunately they closed, so I went and got him today.
I have him acclimating in my 20 gallon right now. The container says he’s a twintail halfmoon betta, male.
Any advice, name suggestions, or food recommendations would be appreciated:)

New Life Spectrum has some of the healthiest betta pellets, though some can be picky about their food and reject it. Mine won’t even eat bloodworms, but he’ll munch on the mini granules from them everyday ^_^

Hi, good for you! Tank looks great! Forgive me, but since you are a first time betta owner, I was wondering whether if your tank was cycled or not. Just making sure! btw, PetSmart bettas generally aren’t taken care of the best, so I would keep an eye on him as he grows older to make sure he adjusts well. AS for names, I feel like Poseidon would be pretty cool; god of the sea 🙂
Can we stop saying “rescued from PetSmart/Petco”? It’s not a rescue if you are supporting the system that allows for the abuse of animals. They just put a new tortured animal in his place
