If you are only going to catch one fish, make it a good one. 44” striper from Rudee Inlet in VA Beach. Had blanked on redfish and was headed back to the ramp when large fish started busting bait on the surface. They ignored my soft plastics so I tied on a mullet plug and hooked up. Well over five minutes of being towed around the inlet before I managed to get it in the net. Quick picture and released to fight again. By then the activity was over. Definitely lucked out and was in the right place at the right time.

Hell yeah!! Love it when they’re too big to fit in the kayak. I got a 40″ yesterday up in Maryland
Dang, nice! Cant wait for them to get up here in New England.
Nice catch and release! Rudee Inlet is an east coast treasure. Don’t tell anyone else!
Try Rudee at night! My absolute favorite.. great catch!
Great catch!! Definitely very jealous.
May I ask what nav lights you’re using? That’s about the simplest and cleanest install I’ve seen. I’ve been looking for my native as well.
I wouldn’t complain about my day with something like that in my net
“we’re going to need a bigger boat”
I saw the picture and the words “Hell yeah” fell out my mouth.
