So im wanting to move my betta from the tank he's currently in to this 10 gallon once I switch everything in it and I was wondering if a 10 gal is big enough for him and a few docile fish+ bottom feeders. Any advice is welcome as well as things to put in the tank for clutter

  1. 10 is big enough for your betta 1-2 snails and a few shrimp depending on your bettas temperament

Yes. Once established, a small, peaceful species like ember tetras could work. Pygmy corydoras or anchor catfish (Hara jerdoni) work on the bottom.

Yeah 10 gallons is perfect for a betta. Not sure if you can add other fish though. MAYBE pygmy corydoras but you have gravel so that’s a no go.

But you can definitely have shrimp and snails.

A 10 gallon is big enough for a single betta and no other fish. If you want a community tank, get a 20 gallon or larger.

Ten gallons is pretty much optimal for one betta. For more than that, probably not. At most, you could add some invertebrates, mainly snails; shrimp are also an option, but be warned that some bettas will eat them. (I once lost a betta because he chowed down on six cherry shrimp overnight and got severely bloated. Bettas can and will eat themselves to death!)

  6. 10 gallon is great for a betta. The bigger, the better! Makes maintenance easier for you while making your fish more happier
