I’m waiting until it’s open for fishing. Check the fish Washington app.

Below the falls it’s closed. Above the falls, it’s catch and release only, maybe catch a white fish. Who knows. There are a lot of other places to fish than there.

First thing I would do is not fish that river lol. Although the middle fork is really pretty when you get up into the mountains.

Most of the good trout fishing in Washington is east of the Cascades.

I fish the south fork in North Bend a few times a year. It’s good, but I wouldn’t really consider fishing it for another month or two.

I wouldn’t bother tying a fly on almost anywhere in Western Washington. High elevation is the exception. Such (relatively) bad/unproductive fisheries. I’d be headed east.

  6. The middle fork- go high till the parking lot at the end. The water should be more manageable this time of year. They’ve done a nice job creating structure where the north fork gets closer to the main stem by 3 rivers park. But yes like these others are saying- terrible river. Don’t bother. Actually if you are on the pass the Yakima is probably a better choice with flows not being at run off levels yet, though given the crummy snow pack this year, who knows. Best if you have a boat for sure.

  7. When I can appropriately pronounce that rivers name, id be able to fish it. Maybe.

Deep nymph seam where riffle goes to deeper water. Maybe swing soft hackles or streamers across deep channels too. Dry fly/emerger in the riffle.
