New to me boat, looks like someone already drilled holes in the transom lol. Where would my best bet be to mount this transducer? Tia

You could go there, but I mounted mine on the lower part of the transom to give it a bit more protection. Fixing holes with gelcoat is a pretty easy task.

I would utilize a glue on transducer mounting pad. Then you only put screws in the pad and not your boat.
