I’m curious about how these pink/purples really look in person, and do they change color and darken to reds and blues as soon as they’re in a good environment. I know these sellers online use bright lights and I’m sure edit their photos to a degree, som more than others, but I love the pastel look, and would love to know people’s experience with them.
In my experience Betta always darken and change color as they age and get in good tanks, so are these just going to revert to regular looking fish? Is this essentially a marketing ploy to sell a $60 Betta?
I see a couple reviews on the websites saying they just get white fish, but don’t post any photos, or they post horrible dark photos you can’t tell if the fish is actually pink.

Ooh! I have one that’s pretty much just like the last image, but male. He’s gorgeous – his body is sort of a light pink color, and his fins are that intense magenta. He has a periwinkle irridescence across his body that I can’t photograph properly. I’ve had him for quite some time – he has gained color and grown a lot since I brought him home, but he’s still solidly pink.
I have a pink and blue betta! I’ll be real with you, he absolutely looked more of a light pink in the listing photos (irl he’s a darker pink with bits of red) BUT I don’t have studio lighting for my fish tank, so it could be a difference of lighting or photo magic. At the end of the day, he’s pink enough for me lol.
Not quite the same but this is my guy, picture is completely unedited. It’s insane how purple/pink he looks in person.
