This little softie who doesn't even flare at his own reflection has a big issue with the TDS pen, so cute!
Note: TDS sits around 350 with regular weekly 20% water changes in this 6 year old tank, no matter what I do. Tap water is 80, no minerals added. Tank holds a betta, 8 kuhli, about 200 neo shrimp and Malaysian trumpets, very heavily planted.

Ours got super high as well without noticing (out tap *is* above 200 to begin with though), so i’ve been bringing it down with water changes with pure ro every 2 days. Goal is around 120 or so, and we’re at ~200 now. So if you’re trying to bring yours down, try doing more frequent water changes to not allow the tds to accumulate that much between them. It’s probably that high in the tank because it measures all that’s in the water, not just minerals.
