I spoiled a new reel the other day and it came out like this. What caused it? Could it be cause I was spoiling it to fast? I did have pressure on it. I also have spoolled other rods and they didn’t turn out like that.

I have found that unless you’ve gotten a good spooling setup, it never really falls even because of the 100 variables with free spooling. Open face especially. You kinda have to mold it into place with your fingers. But regardless, you’ve got way too much line on it.

Have the same Regal. U can add a washer to the reel to adjust line lay. Should have come with extra on the spool or in the box the reel came in
