I’ve been fishing out of a kayak for 24 years now. A while back, these things caught my eye as a means of getting further away from the crowds and back into some nice redfish territory. But I also want to try fishing some of the offshore platforms here on the Texas coast. Considering how much the definition of a kayak has changed since I first started fishing out of them, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that a solo skiff is just a kayak with a gas motor. Regardless, I’m looking forward to getting her wet in the next few days!
