I decided to try my hand at fly fishing back in December and bought a 9’ 5wt and a 7’6” 3wt. After a few unsuccessful trips I finally caught a few brown in Hot Creek in California on a recent trip to the Eastern Sierra. The afternoons of practicing fly casts in my front yard paid off.
