I love my betta so much. I never thought that I could love a fish this much before. He’s the first fish in my own proper tank. My mom had aquariums growing up but I wasn’t very involved.
He recognizes me… he follows my finger around the glass and in the water. He likes to be pet with a Java fern frond.. he eats pellets from my finger and he can even jump to get them..
He’s so special to me. We have such a bond.
But I’ve never given him a name. I’ve had him almost half a year. I’ve just been calling him “lil lad” or “fishie”. But it’s not really a name. I feel like I’m disrespecting him by not giving him a real name LOL
suggestions? He’s not a mean betta either, he has a few small tank mates and doesn’t go after them or flare. He just likes to watch them. You can see one of them in the first picture, the chunky aquatic frog.
