The guy at bass pro shop was very helpful and helped me get some other items. I plan on fishing at Texas State Parks. I know I need to get a cooler for the fish I catch. I still need to get my fishing license. What else am I needing to get before I go fish? I was going to just use my normal measuring tape for the fish. Do I need to get one of those fish rulers?

You do not need to get a fish ruler. It will rust your measuring tape though.
