Traveled to the Gaspe region in early June three years ago for my first attempt at searun Atlantics. We did it dyi and still, it was amazingly expensive. We only fished one day due to the cost, but I managed to hook up with one beautiful heavy fresh Atlantic and I have been dreaming of it ever since. (I rarely take grip and grins, but I made an exception this time.) Our next trip will be to Nova Scotia where it's a lot more dyi and a lot less expensive. Any experiences to share from the Margaree or surrounding rivers?

Margaree is an awesome rivers mid June and early July are great times to target them. You can stop at the salmon museum and get a pool map. Lots of river to explore. Can also check out some of the smaller rivers in the area like Cheticamp.

I loved fishing the Margaree. The busy/popular spots run on a rotation system which I enjoyed personally. My advice would be to get yourself to the Forks/Dollar Pool, meet some other anglers, and see what’s what from there.
