I started to get back into fishing last year and have been wanting a kayak for a long time. I found this Lifetime Tahoma for $100 on FB Marketplace and jumped on it instantly. I thought it was $100 for just the yak itself, but it ended up coming with a cover and a basic paddle which was awesome. I gave it a good thorough cleaning and it looks practically new.
It's missing a seat but I already picked up an Ozark Trail stadium seat and will be installing that this week, along with a crate, rod holder, and PFD. That should be enough to get started.
I'll be doing mostly freshwater but will probably take this out for some saltwater too in marinas and calm areas. I know it's not the best fishing platform out there, but for $100 I'm pretty stoked and am very happy to get it out on the water.
If anyone has used this yak or has ideas/suggestions for upgrades/mods I'd love to hear about it!
