We just cleaned my granddad’s sheds out and found this. My mom remembers learning to fish with this as a child. I’ve ID’d the reel of course, but does anyone recognize this rod? Google hasn’t been especially helpful. I’d appreciate anyone letting me know!

Can’t help you ID it, but it looks like a 1950’s ray gun haha.
It’s probably for ice fishing hope that helps narrow it down lol
Got one of these as a gift like 16 years ago, the spring part is supposed to act like a slingshot for a lure so you dont have to cast. Was too scared to use it cause I was worried it would set a hook in my hand or face at Mach fuck.

Gadget from 20+ years ago for sure. I have one (fell for the marketing), they’re pretty useless for anything other than trawling hard lures down a drift.
