This is my betta Anakin, I have had him for about a week now. I'm worried these are stress stripes and I'm unsure what to do for him as my water parameters are all within range. He has tank mates (tetras, cory's, a pleco) and seems to be peaceful with everyone except some curiosity with the snails. He is a 20 gal long with a good piece of driftwood and plants. The only other thing I can think of is that yesterday he seemed a bit bloated and I held off feeding for the day. I just want to make my boy happy, all help is appreciated 🙂

  1. No, he looks like a copper crown tail – these white/silver stripes can develop with good care. It might just be part of his coloration. It doesn’t look like normal stress stripes to me.
