Not sure if good option for my betta while I get the specific one. My new boy is living with a school of Pygmy corys in a 10g planted and tannin stained tank. (Itās a new hellboy plakat, no name for my boy yet⦠I accept suggestions).

Fluval Bug Bites are better pellets imo if you want to try them. But I’m sure mixing a few of these in (or of the betta steals from the others, is probably fine. The main thing with pellets is looking for ones that have more animal matter than plant matter in them for bettas. Easier said than done, there are plenty of pellets out there branded as “for bettas” that are mostly made of lien half flour. I’d compare the amount of protein in these and the betta labeled ones.
I use the betta ones in rotation with live and frozen foods, fluval bug bites and occasional Hikari vibra worm minis. The betta ones are very high in protein, higher than bug bites.
I’m not sure about these tropical ones, they are a bit lower in protein and higher in vegetable matter. Should be okay if supplemented with frozen foods like chopped mysis shrimp and brine shrimp for example.
I think variety is key, much like our own diets.
Iāve been using one from that same brand for about six months now and havenāt had any issues so far. That said, itās always a good to supplement with live or frozen foods. Bettas especially benefit from it since theyāre natural hunters and need a mix of protein and fiber for proper digestion.
