Caught this bass from a pond, just curious why it’s so pale and lacking a lateral line when all the others around here have your typical bass patterns.

Probably doesn’t hang out under structure a lot and gets plenty of sun. The darkest bass I catch are typically out of thick vegetation

I think the darker the water the lighter the bass
