Mabel Lake August 2025 – 33" long and 15lbs. Hit right at 7:00 am, sure made the 17 km ride from the provincial camp ground to King Fisher in the 12' tin can at 4:30 am worth it. Can't wait until the 2026 season!

That’s a beautiful springer! Love seeing people get out with moochers, they’re a staple of us BC salmon fishermen for a reason. Don’t see a ton of springs in our lakes here on Vancouver island, and they’re closed in the handful of lakes they do enter here, so we primarily targeted in the salt.
