Im debating heavily between these two rods as they are both in my budget, available, and well known brands. Id be getting one in a 9ft 5wt and multi species fishing, trout, panfish, and etc. Id be throwing primarily indicator rigs but also dries, poppers, and streamers. I have a redington bass field kit 7wt already for larger flies/bigger fish and my current 5wt is a roxstar access/maxcatch v access. Thank you!

I’d get the Redington classic.
I’d go to a shop and cast some rods. I’ve fished the classic trout and it was nice but it’s a really slow rod. Wouldn’t be my first choice unless you’re only throwing dry flies, single smaller flies etc. not great in wind.
Go cast some and see what you like.
Yellowdog did their 5 wt shootout this year and it was all done blind( so you didn’t know what brand each rod was) and the trout classic came in like 2nd or 3rd overall beating out $1000+ rods. I would be really interested in that rod.
