I have been throwing the idea of getting an inflatable around but wondering how many drift boat-able trout streams there are in the MN, WI, or IA area. I know there are plenty of small mouth, and Muskie opportunities, but for the purposes of this post I’m only wondering about trout streams. 90% of the fly fishing I do is in the driftless, with usually one or two trips out west each year. TIA!

PS – this is a green river brown… not driftless area-I’m not that much of a wizard
The only one I can really think of is the Brule, and I don’t know about the quality of trout fishing there, because I left northern Wisconsin 20 years ago.
Not what you’re looking for, but if I ever moved back (not likely), I’d probably pick up a canoe instead and get out on the lakes in MN and WI. I grew up in NW WI though, so I don’t know as much about Iowa.
Root River in MN is floatable below Preston.
