You probably can on a slow retrieve. The bait is buoyant and will float if you give it a short pause

Yeah like others have said it might run a little bit too deep. I would definitely give it a couple of casts. I’ve had a lot a of luck using the regular X-rap in lagoons bays and harbors. Bass and halibut love jerk baits.
