Thank you to those in this subreddit who gave me the courage to pop out the dent in my cheap af kayak! As someone new to kayaking, I can’t really tell if the remaining damage is affecting the way it moves, but honestly that’s not too important rn. Y’all helped me give my daughter an incredibly fun day and gave a young dad hope. I promise to try and return it, though I know my chances are severely diminished due to fixing it and I’m okay with that. I hope to catch my first big bass from this thing here soon!

Don’t listen to the haters on the last post. Yeah, I’d return it. But if a daughter was beyond excited to go kayaking with her dad, that dad should make do with what he’s got. Should be just fine as long as there isn’t a crack/ it’s taking on water.
I mean hell, it’s Walmart. Could still clean it off, take it in and say it arrived as such. Not like you’re lying.
As long as everyone is safe.
