is this good enough for a betta fish? it's six gallons and I'm cycling it.

Tbh – a 6-gallon tank is pretty tiny, even for a betta. Also, when it comes to betta tanks, a shallow and long setup is better than a deep one.
Apart from that, I suggest getting some surface plants like frogbit. They develop these amazing long roots that will make your fish feel right at home. 😉

Yeah 6 gallons is fine! I’d recommend getting some water lettuce (my betta loves to rest in it) and taller wider plants for more resting spots. I’d recommend getting a longer finned betta tho! Make sure you have a filter (sponge preferred) and 100% a heater
