A couple days ago my young female betta had a little tear in her fin. I didn’t think much of it since bettas get stuck all the time and usually with clean water they heal by themselves. I just did a small waterchange and put in an indian almond leaf. The next day it looked like the rest of her anal fin is literally melting off! I gave her a salt and malachite green bath (it’s the only commonly available fish medicine in my country). She wasn’t so lethargic at first but now,on the third day,she isn’t doing so good. She did eat a bit but now it looks like there’s something wrong with her mouth? It doesn’t look the same as before. I continued the treatment plus daily waterchanges but she seems to be getting worse. What disease is this? Does this have something to do with the weird scale bald patch on her (which she’s had since i bought her)? Please help!

Her tank is a 4 gallon cube, filter, heater, planted, parameters are fine since i’ve been doing constant water changes (gh and kh are a bit high), no tankmates, cycled.

First photo is when i first noticed the tear, second is the next day where the rest of the fin seemed melted off (plus the spot i was talking about), third is her last night before i went to bed and last is her after treatment today 🙁

Hi OP, can you share the water parameters? Can you also share the water change schedule and how much charged etc? Thanks.
