Planning on going to pick up this Slx dc on a googan go to casting rod for $180. This will be my second baitcaster. Is the slx really worth all the money and is it reliable?

The handle looks really bent. If it actually is that bent, I’d worry about what else might have been deformed or damaged. This is a great reel, but I’d pass in that condition. You can get an SLX DC new for $150 + taxes/tariffs if you order from Japan.

They’re good reels but that deal is a hard pass. Those rods suck to be frank, the reel looks thrashed with a bent handle, and even if the stuff was like new it wouldn’t be worth $180 secondhand.
