I'd guess it's a pike because it cut that deep.

Must have been a huge one tho

    Not sure what it was that did it but come here to say in 20 years that’s going to be a very unique fish.

    The size of the bite could be explained by the wound not being recent and the fish having grown larger with the the damage.

    Certainly doesnt look like a wels mark to me, their “pads” are more like velcro and cause what looks more like a rash than an actual bite.

    I would say wels, it’s like really wide and like are more narrow. If not he just grew a lot after the bite

    I’d say Catfish, the bite radius doesn’t look like a Pike as their jaws/skull are a sharper shape that comes to more of a point unless this Pike was enormous.

    Pike teeth are also very serrated and with the force that fish has been bitten, the Carp should be absolutely shredded and riddled with puncture marks.

    It looks like a catfish about 80+cm long bit it and crushed it.

    Could also be damage from a great cormorant if they live in your area
