Hi everyone! Im looking to set up a new aquarium after a couple year break and im going with a small planted 20 gal long. My waters PH isnt liquid rock, but decently high. I cant find my GH/KH kit after moving so have a new one coming this week. Ive only ever kept mbuna and peacock cichlids in the past and they liked my high ish PH water. Looks like 7.6-7.8 but my eyes also arent that good so pics are for people with good peepers. Main question is are alot of nano fish out of the question with this PH? Most of the ones i wanted like rummy nose tetras, chili rasboras, honey gourami, green neon tetras, celestial pearl danios, and emerald dward rasboras all seemed to like softer water based off my light googling. Ive also seen a few threads on here saying they had PH similar to mine and it killed all their chili rasboras…..but thats probably another issue so grain of salt. I'm not really wanting to get RO water and mix half tap water, so if those species don't work id love to here if anyone knows options that like harder water! TIA

Stability maters more than pH level. As long as you have a stable pH, everything will be okay.

It shouldn’t hurt too bad. That’s mine. Good ole Midwest water. Rasbora and the like don seem to care at all
