Upgraded Keith's tank from a 20L to a brand new 36L. We just set it up today. Before you panic, we used all the water from his old tank and the filter along with some conditioned water, so I'm not overly concerned about the bacteria since it's from an already well established tank, but I will be keeping a close eye on him for the next week or so. I put him into a large sealed plastic container with tank water and a plant for the 5 or so minutes it took to fill the new tank.
I am planning to add more leafy plants and hiding places for him in the near future, but imma focus on keeping him alive. He already seems really happy in his new place, and the mystery snail hasn't shown any symptoms of something wrong which gives me more faith in the tank being OK. And we used rinsed pool filter sand as the substrate because it's clean and looks natural as well.
The large plant in the middle came from my brother's tank cuz idk how he did it but his plants have gone absolutely wild, and his platys love them, so hopefully I can get the same result here.
Overall stoked with how it went and how it looks, and I reckon he's gonna like it more as well

Even though you transferred over the filter, the tank is currently not cycled. Please follow the instructions for a fish-in cycle and watch carefully for ammonia spikes. Even though you correctly seeded the cycle, it will still take 2-6 weeks and you need to do frequent water changes to keep nitrite levels lower than 0.25 ppm.
Awesome upgrade! Only suggestion i have is to add more water to it 😅 Once more plants are added in ir will be perfect! Also great that you transfered the filter! That’s where the bulk of the beneficial bacteria is, so essentially you transferred the cycle with it. Done rescapes, full restarts and transfers dozens of times like this with a lot heavier stocking than this without any issues. 🙂
