Made a post yesterday saying the bass in this pond won’t bite anything but a nightcrawler. Idk what kind of weeds these are but I went again today, seen a couple blow ups in the weeds, so I guess thats a good sign. Tried some top water, tried wacky rig senko (green pumpkin), tried a fluke, a spinner bait, Texas rigged senkos, red and black ribbon tails, creature baits, craws, every soft plastic I had in my tackle box just about it 😂 not even as much as a bite.
I tried fishing fast, I tried fishing slow, idk what else to do lol.
Is live bait my only option for real? I don’t mind fishing with red worms under a bobber but I can’t get over the bite on an artificial lure.

Johnson weedless spoon.
Throw a frog and see what they do, make sure to use ligher (8lb) fluoro or mono as line
Hit early morning, right before the sun starts coming up, throw out a weightless plastic toad with a EWG weedless style. Throw it everywhere.
Or, punch and pitch that weed. Hit the holes with a punch rig
Punch it with a 1/2 Oz weight or 3/4, a 3/0 hook and berkely chigger craw (green pumpkin) twitch a few times, the reel in. Keep doing it, you will get good fish
Watch some videos on punching if you’re seeing them blow up in the grass like that. Make sure your setup is ready to pull bass out of vegetation, it’s not like bringing them in on 6lb mono with a nightcrawler.
It would help to know what state, but try to fish the edges of the bank and transitions of the grass. When bank fishing try to stay back at least 5ft from the water when casting. Think about sneaking up on the fish..
You burnt through my list, I would have suggested the t-rigged ribbon tail worms, craws, rage bug, or senkos. With all that veg, seems like that or top water frogs like pad crashers.
Quit your job and go every day
Those weeds might be a prime spawning area for the bass so I bet if you throw a blue gill looking lure like a blue gill colored crankbait or swim bait, they bass could get defensive and eat the bluegill lure. Just an idea
Punch those weeds. You need heavy braided line , a big weight, straight shank heavy hook, and your favorite soft plastic crawdad.
Texas Rigged Ribbon Tail
What colors have you been using? What times have you been fishing? What size line? How close have you been standing to the bank? Casting out into the middle or casting parallel to bank?
Frog all day
