Es la primera vez que tengo un pez Betta y la verdad es que estoy encantado.Lo que no sé es que variedad es y además es que no quiere comer el alimento que le doy. es decir lo prueba, lo escupe un par de veces y lo deja. Es granulos para discus pero sirve igual.

Oh my goodness, he’s beautiful! Sadly, I don’t know the specific scale pattern he is, but he does seem to have a similar gene to samurai or dragon scale bettas because of the silver scales. Sadly, the genetic breeding of those scale types has led to the scales growing over the eyes in multiple cases, so I would be wary of eventual blindness.
Concerning the food issue, bettas are picky. They are obligated carnivores, and I’m guessing since you just got him, that the food is too large for him. Personally, when I first get any of my bettas, I specifically use betta pellets and crush them into more manageable chunks. Imagine someone gave you a whole chicken breast and tied your hands behind your back so you couldn’t tear it into more swallow-able pieces- that’s essentially what’s happening to your little guy.

(Ps, I highly suggest putting an almond leaf in there every now and then. It evens out the pH, makes your water a little darker [blackwater effect], and helps fish that have scales like your little handsome guy pop in their tanks!)
