hello everyone! I found this fishing floats in an old fishing box of my childhood. I don't fish anymore, but I'm an oceanographer, so I can see some utilities for a float in my field toolbox.
I hope someone could explain to me when should I use each float type, and the main differencez between them. thanks!

Usually large floats are for using live bait or heavy baits. The thin pencil floats have better sensitivity and hold up less weight
Skinny tall floats are easier to see when you get little fish bites.
The float design pertains to resistance when it’s pulled down, for anglers a thinner profile helps with softer bites but means your bait has to be light. The lines are indicators for the mass on the other side.
