Too much on the hair and hair is not fixated so it will definitely cause misses.

I would remove 1 or two kernels so the hook moves more freely. For my liking is too much corn, I usually use 2-3 kernels. But if it catches fish I don’t see the problem

You may benefit from a small piece of tubing on the hook shank opposite the barb when making this rig. Have a look at blowback rigs. Ensures for me the hair is always well aligned and in the correct position. You might also benefit whipping further down the shank of the hook also.
I would personally make the hair small and use less corn. You will catch with one or two pieces of corn scattered amongst a bed of corn.
