recently got into fly fishing and i noticed this on my fly line yesterday does it matter? and if it does how do i fix it

Cut it off, tie a perfection loop. Lots of videos on YouTube to help, if you need it. Practice beforehand!

Cut it off and use a nail knot to make a new loop.

I coat mine with a little bit of clear gorilla glue to make them smoother and bullet proof.
