Tank parameters are stable and have been for months now.

7.5ph, 4.1alk, 0amm 0nitrite 3nitrate. temperature is 75 and has been for about 2 months now.

Three days ago I noticed coppery coloration seemingly under the exoskeleton in the head of 3 of my amanos, with the 4th amano having it on her exoskeleton. It is a mix of male and female so it couldn't be a gender thing.

Is this diet related? Some weird amano only disease? I have neos in the tank and have only noticed some unique molting colors externally, and all the other inhabitants seem fine.

Thats diet related..thier stomachs are literally in thier heads.

So if you feed them broccoli, or algae or anything green will turn green. If you feed them pellets, diatoms, it will get brownish, and thats how it works

Amano shrimp often change color based on what they eat and If they eat red or brown algae. If they are eating well they are probably just fine.
