i have a lot of questions. longtime fisherman. first time trying from beach
was wondering about walking this beach with lures.
i got an X rap long cast i was going to throw and some BIG 5” swim baits. i was wondering what’s my higher chance of success if you had to pick one to start with.?
I also posted a picture because i was out there today. I for the life of me can’t read the beach. it’s tan water pretty far out there. and then a darrrrk drop off but it’s about 100 yards out. i was wondering if i was wasting my time throwing here? or if it looks promising based on the picture?
i have a 8foot rod with a 5000 reel on it. thanks in advance for any help.

Go scout the beach at low tide…you should see more rips, cuts and bars and then mark where they are or make a mental note. That’s where you’ll want to fish when the tide comes back up. Those cuts suck bait in and out with the tides and that’s where the predatory fish like to hang out and ambush.
