I’m primarily an inshore/near shore fisherman but with three kids under 5 and wife who likes her toes in the sand I find myself on the beach quite often. Quick research shows the 2 and 3 piece rods are an option, are these as strong? What’s a good length for NC/SC? Don’t mind spending a little money on quality gear, I’m a buy-once-cry-once guy.

Just to clarify, are you asking for suggestions on a beach rod? Or a rod that would work on the beach and the boat?
I see people on here talking about how happy they are with their Fiblink surf rods off Amazon. And I think those are available in 2 or 3 piece rods.
But those are proper long surf rods.
