I recently inherited my grandfathers old Martin Classic MC89 fly reel and I’m looking for help valuing this and finding the model name. I assume because it says 89 it’s an 8/9 wt?
Needs a little dusting but it was barely used and is in pretty much mint shape. No box or papers.

It’s not worth too much, eBay will set the price. Would hold 7-9 wt lines.

I love this reel. I have several and have some great memories.
A brand new one in the blister pack sell for around $50-60. Used in great condition about $30
The model number is on the back, MC89. MC = Martin Classic i presume. Not worth much, as has been mentioned. Check eBay for sold examples to get an idea of price. I’m guessing anywhere from $15-$40.
Like others said not much between 15-30, fly fishing gear rarely holds value.
Best value would be to fish it personally.
