found in parents garage ….. all dusty and dirty but seems to be in good condition otherwise. how do I clean this up? I have a small container of reel grease that came with my lews rod/reel combo. do I need to worry about rust if I spray wash it with hose and leave it out in sun/wind to dry?

This may be horrible advice but I just stick my rod in the water every once in a while and give it a spin. Just make sure to oil it up a lil afterwards
Alcohol and a rag. Lube reel after.
