My dad has used this particular lure for many years and calls it the wonderworm. Its responsible for half the fish hes caught for decades. I believe it is discontinued but id like to know what exactly it is (brand and name) and if there are any current variations on the market.

that looks like an old Mann’s product. I know they had a few different types of worms called “Wonder Worms”.
while not the bait you are looking for, there are a few “lizard” baits that have a skinny profile, curly front “legs” and a swimming tail.[V&M Lures “wild thang” lizard](https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/VM_Wild_Thang_Lizards/descpage-VMWLDLZ.html) might work, if you cannot find anything else.

This might be it or close
You may be able to find a close replica through independent soft plastic makers. I know there’s a community of people who make their own soft plastics, so it may cost a bit, but you may be able to reach out to someone in the hobby and have them custom make something similar.
