Me and my father planned to go fishing about 4 years ago but it ended up not happening due to busy schedules thus us eventually forgetting about it. This summer we noticed our unused rods and decided to finally put them to use! However I am pretty lost on what we can even fish with these rods as they seem pretty thin and light. The brands are SilverBullet and PioneerTackle. I would greatly appreciate some tips and pointers on starting out. For reference, I live in the Philippines. Thanks!

Fish, weeds, branches… but you’ll need the reel and line to do that.
Look for places where people are fishing, and remember the places where they catch them.
I don’t know exactly what species of fish y’all got in the Philippines, but with the casting weight and line rating in my part of the world, I’d use those rods for trout, bass or maybe even pan fish. I’d stick to throwing lighter, more finesse-style presentations or a worm and bobber.
Trout, Bluegill, crappie, small bass.
Buy a few shimano 2500 reels and spool them with 6 pound line.
