I was told there’s lots of trout in this pool, what would be the best way to get their attention?
I can access both sides. Using fly rod or spinning

My idea is stand at the angle the photo is taken. Then cast a fly at the entrance of the culvert, and let the current drag it like a regular bug would be. The fish will see this as a free lunch.

Pitch right into the tunnel mouth and let the current take your offering into the eddy where the trout wait for their meal to come to them.

I like a fly on a drop shot rig for that. Wooly bugger Fly up 3ft above a 1/8oz weight and drop it in the hole and jig it. You’ll get em if they’re in there!!
